Adieu Sarkozy & Tagore's Anthem

THE HUMAN ANGLE

Monday op-ed column in PostNoon newspaper.

- ADIEU SARKOZY
(Did Sarkozy really lose because of the economy, or was there more to his defeat? What went wrong with the Sarkozy presidency after a great start, and how France lost its stature because of lack of vision and decency of its divisive head of state).

- TAGORE'S ANTHEM
He is credited with the national anthems of three countries, and called his Jana Gana Mana The Morning Song of India. But did Tagore have an anthem for the world? What did Thomas Hardy say about Tagore and what was Thomas Mann's reaction? Where did Tagore disagree with Gandhi? A humanist look at Tagore at the end of the year long celebrations of his 150th birth day.

Needless to say, I would be honored to receive your comments and criticism!

warm regards and best wishes,

Babu Gogineni
